Elder Health Care
at New River Health Association

The New River Health Association prides itself in its comprehensive elder care and screening programs.

Our wide range of elder care services include:

Comprehensive health examinations and health risk evaluations
Physician care in local hospitals
After-hours physician coverage
Home visits for shut-ins
Evaluation and treatment of Black Lung Disease, including benefits counseling and education
Evaluation and treatment of hearing loss
Diabetic screening and education
Cancer screening
Annual female check-ups, including pap smears
Instruction in BSE (Breast Self-Examination)
Free blood pressure checks
Routine laboratory tests and EKGs (Electrocardiograms)
Flu and pneumonia vaccines

We bill Medicare, Medicaid, Worker's Compensation, UMWA (United Mine Workers of America) and other insurance carriers. We offer sign language interpreters and a TDD (Telecommunication Device for the Deaf) for the hearing impaired.
